On Saturday, October 17 the London Symphonia provided a spectacular program for an enthusiastic audience at the Metropolitan United Church. It began with the world premier of Londoner Scott Good s violin concerto, entitled Yinyang, played magnificently by Canadian violinist Kerson Leong, and was followed by a rousing rendition of Mahler s first symphony, the Titan. Conductor James S. Kahane guided the orchestra through both complex scores and both he and Leong received a sustained ovation. We are fortunate to have such talent collaborating to produce a true work of art.
In addition to our collaboration with London Symphonia, Serenata Music is joining forces with the Jeffrey Concert Series to sponsor the Musicians From Marlboro, Sunday, October 25, also at the Metropolitan United Church at 4 P.M.

Biographies

Sarah Davis Buechner, piano
Saturday, May 6, 2017. Sarah returned to our stage after a 10 year hiatus. Her performance of Mozart, Fantasy in D Minor; Sonata in D Major "Durnitz", Chopin, Introduction and Rondo in E Flat Major, Ibert, Histoires for piano, and Taku, Variations on a Theme of Poulenc was elegant and dramatic. The audience was delighted both by her wonderful sense of humour and the maturity of her interpretation.
