SOME SAD NEWS AND SOME GOOD NEWS
We were greatly saddened by the death of violinist Geoff Nuttall, well known to London music audiences. He spent his youth here before stydying at The Banff Centre, the University of Western Ontario, and the University of Toronto and eventually forming the St. Lawrence String Quartet. We know that the Serenata Music audience will join us in expressing our condolences to the Nuttall family.
And now some happy news.
The inaugural 2022-23 season concert with the London Symphonia was a spectacular success especially with the new stage in the Metropolitan United Church. The full orchestra filled the hall with great sound which was enjoyed by a large aaudience. The addition of a new performance hall will be welcomed by the arts community in London.
This season has seen London's musical groups producing comprehensive concert programs. Please see our Concert News for details.
Our sister Ontario Classical Music Organization members also have a variety of ongoing programs. Audiences in Brockville, Cornwall, Port Hope, Muskoka, Orillia, Sarnia, Newmarket, and Welland-Port Colborne are being welcomed back. We all are hoping that attendance will return to normality.
Serenata Music is still being cautious. Our first program will be in cooperation with London Symphonia in May 20, 2023 with the orchestra and violinist James Ehnes. We are planning other programs for later in 2023. Watch for details.

Canadian Guitar quartet
The Canadian Guitar Quartet, featuring Julien Bissaillon, Renaud Côté-Giguère, Bruno Roussel and Louis Trépanier
Since its debut in 1999, the Canadian Guitar Quartet has toured extensively in North and South America, from one standing ovation to the next, establishing a reputation as one of the finest guitar ensembles in the world. The CGQ has appeared with orchestra across Canada, and has recorded three critically acclaimed CDs.
The quartet has been broadcast on both CBC and Radio-Canada, has had a special performance feature on Bravo!
