We are thrilled to follow our successful 2022 joint venture with London Symphonia and pianist Stewart Goodyear with internationally acclaimed, Canadian violinist, James Ehnes, Saturday, May 20, 7:30 P.M. We know that the audience will be inspired by the Brahms violin concerto especially in the newly renovated Metropolitan United Church. We are pleased to provide London the opportunity to hear Mr. Ehnes with the full orchestra. Guest conductor Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser will also conduct Beethoven's Symphony No. 2 which will add to the splendour of the evening.
Those of us who have been attending the Symphonia concerts have been pleased with the varied programming as well as the superb quality of the performers. The recent concert with mezzo-soprano Julie Boulianne and conductor Tania Miller was outstanding. Kudos to artistic director Andrew Chung and all the musicians for providing music that London deserves.
Serenata Music will be announcing two programs for the fall of 2023 to take place in November. We are also working on programs for the winter and spring of 2024.
See you on May 20.
